Obituary for Delwin Lyle Stewart

Delwin Lyle Stewart, 83, of Richland, Michigan, passed away on Wednesday, February 27, 2019 at MediLodge of Portage. He was born on February 18, 1936, the son of William Leroy Stewart and Blanche Catherine (Steward) Stewart.
Del proudly and honorably served his county in the United States Marine Corps, serving during the Korean War era. He earned the National Defense Medal, Korean Service Medal, and the United Nations Service Medal. He also was a member of the Polish National Alliance (PNA) in Battle Creek
Del is survived by his Two Daughters, Loucinda M. (Tom) Flamm and Valerie L. Havel; Son, Steven Frederick Stewart; Seven Grandchildren, Christopher Havel, Amanda Havel, Tamara Stewart, Jennifer Flamm, Patricia Rhone, Jeremy Flamm, Skyler Stewart; and several great-grandchildren and other loving family members. He was preceded in death by his Parents, William and Blanche Stewart, Son, Scott Allen Stewart, Sister, Audrey VanDyke, Two Brothers, William T. Stewart and Russell Stewart.
Del loved spending time on the water fishing, collecting poles and reels. He was an active member of the NRA, collecting guns, shooting and shopping. He also enjoyed traveling to new places. Del was a master craftsman. He loved working with his hands, fixing things or even taking on the simplest of tasks. He would help anyone in an instant.
