Obituary for Nora Jean Norton
Nora Jean Norton, 62, of Battle Creek, Michigan, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, May 23, 2018 at home. She was born on July 25, 1955, the daughter of Jessie Norton Sr. and Edna (Curtis) Norton.
Nora retired from Bronson Battle Creek. She was a faithful member of the Sanctuary of Praise Church of God in Christ in Battle Creek.
Nora is survived by her Daughter, Monique Norton; Son, Dominique Norton; Sister, Pecolia (Fred) Hampton; Twin Sister, Nola Alexander; Brother, Louis Norton; three Grandchildren, Jamar Warren, Laylah Norton, and Malaysia Warren; God Daughter, Daijha Hollins; Special Niece, Kwanterryia Hampton; Special Nephew, Anthony Norton and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, and other loving family. She was preceded in death by her parents.
Nora enjoyed listening to music, watching movies, and spending time with her family; But she absolutely adored her grandchildren. She will be missed dearly by all those she leaves to cherish her memories.
A funeral service will be held at the Sanctuary of Praise COGIC, 7615 Morgan Road E., on Friday, June 1, 2018, at 11:00 am with Pastor Harrison Lamon officiating.
Interment will take place in the Oak Hill Cemetery.
