Obituary for Diane Malone (Miller)

Diane “Dee Dee” Marie Malone, 66, passed away in her husband’s arms in the early hours of Monday, May 21, 2018. Her marriage, children and grandchildren were her greatest accomplishments in this life. Her love for them was eclipsed only by her love of her Savior, Jesus Christ.
Dee Dee was a 1969 graduate of Harper Creek High School. She met and married her high school sweetheart, Jack the same year and together they had 3 children and 6 grandchildren. Dee Dee worked for the Calhoun County Circuit Court as an Accounting and Information Services Manager for over 30 years. She was an active member of Grace Community Church, serving as treasurer for much of that time.
If Dee Dee’s perfect day could talk, it would speak of a day by the water surrounded by beautiful grasses, fairy gardens, whimsical glass sculptures, and a good book. The tables would be filled with noodle salads, anchovy dressing, banana splits, and all you can eat crab legs. The sand would be white and the ocean a clear shade of green. Her dearest friends would be close, and her family closer. There would be laughter. There would be conversation. And like all good days should end, there would be Bruno Mars.
She is survived by her Husband, Jack Malone, Children, Missy (Mark) McCullough, Derek (Amy) Malone, Katie (Luke) Kuboushek, Six Grandchildren, Jake and Macy McCullough, Renae and Jackson Malone, and Oliver and Mia Grace Kuboushek, Sisters, Karen Tadman, Kay Opich and Beverly Mark. She is preceded in death by her parents James Miller, Patricia Tadman, Richard and Grace “Geep” Mosher and her sister, Susan Weddle.
The family will receive visitors on Wednesday, May 23rd from 4-8 pm at Baxter Funeral Home in Battle Creek, MI. A funeral will be held Thursday, May 24th at 11:00 am with the Reverend Mike Whitesell and Pastor Brad Smith officiating.
Contributions in Dee Dee’s honor may be made to the Dominican Republic Mission c/o Grace Community Church.
