Russell Edward  Hoffman
Russell Edward Hoffman, 80, of Battle Creek, Michigan, passed away on Monday, April 2, 2018 at home surrounded by his family. He was born on July 15, 1937, the son of Russell Hoffman and Bernice (Keith) Early.
Russ joined the United States Army fresh out of high school and was stationed in Japan while he served faithfully in the Korean War from 1962 until 1964.
Russ is survived by his Daughter, Kimberly Hoffman; 11 Grandchildren, Jason (Jessica) Vaughan, Terry (Danielle) Vaughan, Nicholas (Fawn) Vaughan, Trevor Street, Jennifer Eldred, Amy Eldred, Tareh Hoffman, John Russell Hoffman Jr., Ashley Packer, Joseph Vaughan, and Tabatha Hicks; 12 Great Grandchildren, Alyssa and Stetson Lipp, Paige, Brittney, Jason Jr., Terrence, Gage, Emily, Kaden, Nicholas L., Triston, Keegan, Madelyn, and Jaxton Vaughan, Bryson, Sophie, and Emma Squires, Edrianna, Julian, Mynis, Marcus Jr., and Gabriella Eldred; Son-in-law, Benny Hicks; Sisters, Dorothy Hoffman, Jeanne Johnson, and a host of nieces, nephews, friends, and other loving family. He was preceded in death by his parents, Wife, Lola Kay Hoffman, Daughters, Robin Hoffman, Tammy Hoffman-Hicks, and Son, John Hoffman.
Russ loved being a man. He enjoyed hunting, working on hot rods, flirting with the ladies, and watching NASCAR. He also liked his computer games and visits to the Casino but his passion lie in fishing. He loved to fish and it didn't matter if it was light, dark, busy or he was entirely alone on the lake. Russ also enjoyed spending quality time with his family and mentoring the young people in his life.
Visitation was held at the Baxter Funeral & Cremation Service, 375 W. Dickman Road, on Wednesday April 11, 2018.
Interment took place in the Fort Custer National Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association.
