Helen graduated from Battle Creek Central High School in 1932. She worked briefly at Kellogg's, and Fort Custer; later she went on to work for Gage's Printing Co. for over 40 years, first hired by Walter Gage Sr. and later being Bud Gages right hand before her retirement in 1995. Helen was married for 21 years to her husband Don Johnson, a dairy farmer in Easy Leroy. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, Climax Chapter.
Helen is survived by her two daughters, Patsy (Ivan) Finney, and Anita McDaniels; four grandchildren, Gloria (Rick) Hunter, Vicki Hill, Roxanne (Matt) French, and Lisa (Eric) Dilts; 8 great-grandchildren and 8 great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers, Grant Hill, Eldon Hill, Wayne Hill, and Wendel Hill, husbands, Leroy Lundy and Donald Johnson; son, John Lundy, one grandson, Russell McDaniels, and very special friend Earl Schwartz.
Helen enjoyed playing cards with her husband and friends. She also enjoyed her work. She loved volunteering for 4-H and attending horse shows. She adored her family and spending her time with her kids and grandkids. Helen filled every day with little kindnesses towards others, and because of that, she will be truly missed by all those who knew her.
